Neodymium is a rare earth metal. It is a chemical element labeled as Nd. Neodymium is a soft metal. A Neodymium magnet is a permanent magnet made from an alloy of neodymium (Nd), iron (Fe) and boron (B). It is also known as King Magnet, NIB (Neodymium-Iron-Boron), Neo magnet, NdFeB and rare-earth magnet.
The strength of Neodymium magnets depends on the grade and on the size of the magnet. Grade N52 is considered the highest grade for commercial use.
